Dr. Israel Flamenbaum from Tel Aviv city, Israel, is a world-renowned agriculturist bringing over four decades of expertise to the field of dairy cattle – specializing in strategic planning of dairy projects in warm climates, with emphasis on the relief of heat stress.

Israel Flamenbaum received his B.Sc. Agriculture (Animal Science) in 1976 in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and two years later he received his M.Sc. degree. In 1988, he received his Ph.D. 

From 1977 Dr. Flamenbaum joined the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural development of the State of Israel. While working at the Ministry of Agricultural he served as Director of Cattle Department, Director, Animal Husbandry Division and two years at “Alpura – Tahal project” in Mexico.

After a prolific career lecturing, all over the globe and publishing numerous papers, he retired from the State of Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture in 2008.

He is now a full time private consultant (fluent in both English and Spanish) and travels extensively to assist government institutions, dairy cooperatives and dairy farms all over the world.

Dr. Flamenbaum is author and co-author of a wide range of publications examining key aspects of milk production, ventilation systems, feed and the effects of heat and environment on herds and herd performance.
